Silver Vacuum Distillation Furnace
The Lead-Silver-Bismuth (Pb-Ag-Bi) Vacuum Distillation Furnace (VDF) is a highly effective piece of pyro-metallurgical equipment designed for the treatment of lead-silver alloys that are co-products of the lead smelting process and are generated from the reduction of lead anode slime.
The Pb-Ag-Bi VDF produces two primary products:
- Lead-silver (Ag ≥90%) Alloy: This lead-silver can be treated by pyro-treatment to produce crude silver(Ag≥90%) to cast into silver anode for silver electrolysis.
- Lead-Bismuth (Pb-Bi) Alloy: This alloy contains bismuth (Bi) in concentrations ranging from 10% to 50%, depending on the bismuth content of the raw materials used.
Operating continuously, the Pb-Ag-Bi VDF has a processing capacity of either 10 tons per day (t/d) or 20 t/d. One of the key advantages of this system is that it emits zero off-gas during operation. This is achieved by utilizing the differing boiling temperatures of lead, silver, and bismuth to effectively separate these metals.
