Scrap Copper Recycling Equipment

This project employs pyrometallurgical (fire-refining) processes to transform scrap copper into high-purity anode copper for electrolytic refining.

Copper is one of the most recycled metals worldwide, with over 50% of its supply derived from scrap sources. The feed materials include end-of-life electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) such as transformers, motors, computers, and smartphones, as well as automotive components from end-of-life vehicles (ELVs), including electric vehicle parts like motors and batteries.

The process begins with the collection, crushing, and sorting of scrap copper, conducted either manually or automatically. This is followed by fire refining to eliminate impurities through oxidation and reduction, resulting in anode-ready copper.
